Paytm

Founded in 2014 as a research and development division of Paytm, we now have offices in Toronto and Montreal. Since we began, we’ve applied big data, artificial intelligence and machine learning to Paytm’s data assets, providing optimal financial products to over 450 million consumers and over 20 million merchants. In 2017, we embarked on our mission to change the lives of Canadians by launching the Paytm Canada app - the first app in Canada to reward you for paying your bills. Our popular consumer-facing mobile app allows consumers to pay their bills using multiple payment options as well as earn rewards via their smartphone. Next, in 2018, we entered a joint venture between Paytm, Softbank, and Yahoo! Japan to launch PayPay, a QR-based smartphone payment settlement service in Japan offered to both merchants and customers. PayPay has rapidly become a super app with 30 million customers and counting. (Approximately 1 in 3 people in Japan use our app!) We're currently building more industry-changing products to bring to market, and we’re just getting started. Wait until you see what we have up our sleeves for 2021!
