The Opportunity

Leveraging Netflix’s innovative and fast-paced culture, help Netflix attain its public climate target to reduce our emissions by roughly half by 2030 by supporting Netflix Production Management teams across the Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) to decarbonize production operations. This role will be located in Europe or the United Kingdom. Up to 40% travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting into Netflix Sustainability, this role will be embedded in the Netflix EMEA Production team and will bring expertise and experience in the following areas:
  • Support the implementation of the Netflix sustainable production strategy at the local EMEA country level by working with the studio Production Management teams to integrate energy efficiency, electric vehicles, clean mobile power and renewable energy into production operations.
  • Lead the localization of Netflix's sustainable production materials and information. Provide guidance to production-facing sustainability consultants.
  • Identify local gaps in production decarbonization knowledge and develop strategies to close these gaps, including supporting local education and training initiatives.
  • Expand the availability of cleantech equipment (clean mobile power and electric vehicles/charging) by aggregating demand and working with local production suppliers to increase their inventory.
  • Stay informed and participate in EU and country-level sustainable production initiatives and groups, working to streamline standards across EMEA, in coordination with production policy.
  • Stay up to date on country-level and regional regulations related to sustainability, and the operational practices they govern.
  • In close coordination with Netflix Sustainability, track decarbonization progress across the region and provide qualitative and quantitative information as needed.
  • Support the company’s carbon footprint measurement process by collecting data for key emissions driving activities to inform annual reporting, working with cross functional teams to standardize and improve data collection efforts and where appropriate, software systems.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years in film or TV production operations, either directly or at a studio or broadcaster.
  • Proven clean energy experience and expertise, focused on decarbonization and fuel reduction efforts and equipment.
  • Familiarity with corporate carbon footprint protocols, with production carbon footprinting experience a plus
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and inspire teams towards achieving sustainability goals.
