At Janea Systems, we are a globally distributed, remote-first team of exceptional software engineering specialists. Our services are the core of our business, but innovation is our heartbeat. We incubate our own cutting-edge products, like Memurai, the only Windows-native, Redis/Valkey-compatible in-memory datastore, and BigFilter.ai, our early-stage AI safety venture.

Job Overview:

Are you a visionary leader ready to pioneer the future of Artificial Intelligence? We

seek a dynamic and seasoned professional to spearhead our Artificial Intelligence Engineering Services Practice. As the AI Practice Lead, you will be at the forefront of innovation, guiding our team to new heights and ensuring our clients reap the transformative benefits of AI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and Lead:  Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow the AI practice, defining service offerings, target markets, and resource needs. Lead a team of engineers and data scientists, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure professional growth and successful project delivery.
  • Innovate and Inspire: Lead the creation and delivery of groundbreaking AI solutions that drive significant business value for our clients. Collaborate closely with our Sales team, clients, and engineers to bring these solutions to life.
  • Champion AI Adoption: Promote and integrate AI tools across our engineering team, enhancing our efficiency and amplifying the value we provide to our clients. Contribute to thought leadership on the role of AI for our clients and the future of software engineering.

Why This

Opportunity Is Exciting:
  • Shape the Future: This is a unique opportunity to define and grow a cutting-edge AI practice, leveraging our foundation of engineering excellence.
  • Transformative Impact: Harness AI to revolutionize our software engineering services, enabling our clients to thrive in the AI revolution.
  • Collaborative Environment: Work alongside passionate professionals dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what's possible with AI.
  • Ultra-flexible work conditions: Work from home using our virtual office setup or we can provide you with a desk at an office facility near you. Flexible working hours – as a remote-first company, our focus is on getting the job done well, not when or where it gets done.

If you are passionate about

leveraging AI to reinvent software engineering and eager to lead a team through the exciting advancements of AI, we invite you to join us on this transformative journey.

Ideal candidate profile:

  • Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.  At least 8 years of relevant experience in AI/ML fields, including 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Extensive experience developing and delivering AI solutions, including a deep technical understanding of machine learning algorithms, data modeling, ML models development and deployment, and software engineering principles
  • Strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to understand client's business challenges and create innovative AI service offerings to address those challenges
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including a strong command of written and spoken English
