Join us as VP of Platform Engineering
Are you a seasoned engineering leader passionate about driving innovation in SaaS environments? We're seeking a visionary VP of Platform Engineering to spearhead the development and evolution of our common platform services. In this pivotal role, you will lead a dynamic team in crafting and optimizing essential services like user management, release flagging, and CI/CD pipelines across our product portfolio.
What You'll Do:
- Strategic Leadership: Conceptualize, develop, and enhance our Platform Engineering Services platform, driving efficiency and quality across development cycles.
- Team Empowerment: Build and nurture a high-performing team capable of delivering scalable solutions that meet both current and future business needs.
- Collaborative Innovation: Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to align platform strategies with organizational goals, fostering a collaborative environment for innovation.
Your Expertise:
- Functional Expertise: Define and design a robust SaaS Platform Engineering function, leveraging automation and best practices to accelerate development velocity.
- Technical Acumen: Bring deep technical expertise in Cloud Technologies (especially AWS) and a strong understanding of systems engineering and high-availability design principles.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Minimum BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering; MS degree preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
- Professional Experience: 10+ years of hands-on development and engineering experience, with significant leadership roles in SaaS or supply chain sectors.
- Leadership Prowess: Proven track record in leading centralized platform services, ideally within retail or similar industries.
- Product Mindset: Possess a strong product-oriented mindset with the ability to scale solutions across diverse product lines.
- Global Interaction: International professional experience with senior stakeholders globally.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: Desire to work in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
- Results Delivery: Ability to consistently deliver exceptional results on demanding timelines.
- Travel: Target 25%
- Hybrid in Alpharetta Office
- The pay range for this position is between $180,000 and $225,000 plus Annual Incentive Bonus. Starting salary may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
