Job Summary

Twilio is seeking a Developer Advocate, Community Engagement to grow and nurture Twilio's developer community from a remote location in the United Kingdom. You will create technical content, host and participate in community events, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to drive adoption of Twilio’s APIs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute programs to engage developers and partners globally.
  • Create technical content (tutorials, sample apps, guides, blog posts) that showcases Twilio APIs.
  • Deliver talks, webinars, and workshops at conferences, meetups, and online events.
  • Host and participate in community events, hackathons, and office hours.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to gather feedback and communicate platform changes to developers.
  • Manage community channels, respond to developer inquiries, and advocate for the developer experience.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to support developer enablement and evangelism.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in developer relations, developer advocacy, or roles focused on building active developer communities or developer experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven public speaking experience.
  • Hands-on experience with REST APIs and cloud communications platforms (e.g., Twilio APIs). Familiarity with Node.js or Python is a plus.
  • Experience creating technical content (blogs, tutorials, sample code).
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote setting and across multiple time zones; willing to travel for events as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with open-source communities, developer portals, or ecosystem programs.
  • Experience with API documentation and developer onboarding processes.
  • Background in customer-facing roles in technology companies.
