About this role

 

As the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Provider Relations, you will play a pivotal role in fostering and maintaining strong relationships between our organization and healthcare providers. You will lead a team dedicated to ensuring the seamless integration and collaboration between Transcarent and our network of healthcare professionals, including physicians, hospitals, Ambulatory Surgical Centers (ASCs), and other healthcare providers. Your strategic vision and leadership will be instrumental in driving organizational growth, establishing and maintaining value-based care relationships, and optimizing provider partnerships.

 

What you’ll do

 
  • Strategic Relationship Management: Develop and execute a comprehensive provider relations strategy aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives. Cultivate strategic partnerships with healthcare providers to drive mutual success and value creation. 
  • Strategic Network Development: Lead efforts to expand and enhance the organization's provider network, today a national Center of Excellence network with over 350 providers and nearly 1,000 access points focused on most surgeries and cancer. Manage the strategy for identifying and onboarding new providers, negotiating contracts, and establishing mutually beneficial terms and agreements. Continuously evaluate network adequacy and optimize provider distribution to meet member needs. 
  • Provider Engagement and Support: Implement initiatives to engage and support healthcare providers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention. Act as the primary point of contact for provider inquiries, issues, and escalations. Facilitate communication and collaboration between internal teams and external providers. 
  • Quality Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor and improve provider performance and network quality. Develop metrics, benchmarks, and performance indicators to assess provider effectiveness and identify areas for enhancement. 
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant healthcare regulations, policies, and industry trends. Ensure that provider relations activities comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including healthcare privacy and security requirements. 
  • Leadership and Team Management: Provide strong leadership and guidance to the provider relations team. Recruit, train, mentor, and develop team members to achieve their full potential. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. 
  • Work with Sales and Marketing teams to understand and promote the value of our provider network. 
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to analyze provider performance, network utilization, and market trends. Generate insights and recommendations to drive informed decision-making and optimize provider relations strategies. 

What we’re looking for

 
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). 
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in healthcare provider relations, contracting, and network management. 
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strategic relationships with healthcare providers. 
  • Very strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, payment models, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Experience in leadership and team management, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate others. 
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, with the ability to leverage data to drive strategic decision-making. 
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a commitment to excellence. 
  • In-depth experience and enthusiasm for value-based care, including bundles and other alternative payment models.

Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal equity. 

 

Salary is just one component of Transcarent's total package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock options.
