Position: Sales (Construction)
We are looking for an experienced sales professional who is energized to contribute to our growth initiatives. This position requires residential construction experience and skillset to execute inbound and outbound sales opportunities. These include sales appointment visits to scope out jobs, draft detailed proposals, drive value-add follow-ups to increase conversions and also execute outbound strategies to build relationships and win jobs.
Key Responsibilities: Inbound Lead Handling & EstimatingPrioritize customer experience via timely visits, thorough communication and expectation setting, customer education and solution-oriented presenting alternative solutions when neededVisit residential and light commercial job sites to assess scope, measurements, and site conditionsPrepare and send timely, accurate proposals usingBuildertrendor equivalent platformsClearly communicate project timelines, pricing, scope, and material optionsAnswer questions and act as theprimary point of contact for the customer pre-saleProcess permits and other regulatory requirements as needed for jobsProposal Follow-Up & ConversionManage a structuredfollow-up cadence(calls, texts, emails) for proposals sentAddress common objections (budget, timing, competitive quotes)Collaborate with operations team to offer adjusted timelines or incentives if neededMaintain proposal pipeline visibility in CRM or BuildertrendOutbound Sales & Relationship BuildingIdentify and pursue partnerships with:General contractors, designers, property managers, HOA boards, etcDevelop arepeatable outbound cadence(intro calls, meetings, drip follow-ups)Attend industry events, network locally, and represent Gardner Construction professionallyHelp create company awareness and strengthen our referral network Qualifications: 5+ years of sales experiencein residential or commercial constructionExperience with cold calling and prospectingProven ability toestimate project costs(concrete, foundation, waterproofing preferred)Preferred proficiency in using Buildertrend and Salesforce CRMOrganized, self-motivated, and thrives on hitting goalsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsValid driver's license; ability to travel locally to job sitesBonus Points For:Knowledge of local permitting processesExisting relationships with builders, property managers, or residential clients Compensation & Benefits Expected first-year OTE includes base salary and commissionEquity awardHealth insurance and retirement plansPaid time off, holidays, and ongoing trainingCompany-vehicle provided with gas cardCareer advancement opportunities in an employee-owned company
