Staff Design Release Engineer, Sensors

📋 Description

• Own design release of sensor hardware (camera, radar, LiDAR, IMU, mic).
• Drive full product lifecycle from concept to sustaining engineering.
• Release docs: BOM, specs, drawings, tests; align with vehicle design.
• Define and maintain DVP&R for system performance targets.
• Lead the ECN process for sensor designs with cross-functional buy-in.
• Interface with sensor suppliers (Tier 1/2); track DV, PV, PPAP progress.
• Collaborate on hardware integration and manufacturability (DFM/DFA).
• Lead design readiness reviews and risk mitigation plans.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in automotive design and release engineering.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical/Mechanical/Systems Eng.
• Deep understanding of sensor tech, CAN/Ethernet, env validation standards.
• Experience with DVP&R, DFMEA, PFMEA.
• Proven BOM and ECN management with suppliers.
• CAD: NX and CATIA; PLM tools (Polarion) experience.
• Strong vehicle integration, packaging, and ISO 26262 knowledge.

🎁 Benefits

• Base salary range: $144,000 – $191,250 USD.
