This role will support the Global Communications team and will report to the Global Head of Influencer Relations & Communications, driving a creative and strategic earned influencer relations programme for Spotify UK and support other global influencer initiatives. Leading on all local aspects of influencer strategy and influencer relations, you will tap into the power of influence to help enhance company reputation, create positive business impact, product awareness and share Spotify’s story.

In this role you are a world-class creative and strategic problem solver with a deep understanding of Influencer, PR and Communications, have a proven track record for crafting renowned earned/organic influencer work, know how to tell interesting and playful creator and talent stories, understand modern digital news sharing on social, and bring a rolodex of relationships within the influencer and entertainment communities. Through experiences that only Spotify can provide, you will leverage the power of the brand to build memorable moments for influencers.

This individual will be responsible for developing and evolving the earned influencer relations strategy and approach for Spotify in the UK market, as well as manage opportunities across other markets as needed. You will collaborate with North American/Global teams on the existing influencer playbook with the opportunity to provide existing market knowledge on how best to execute UK expansion. As a cultural and creative connector, you will help expand Spotify’s sphere and network of influence into new and different spaces, and spot opportunities to better tell our Spotify story through a Comms and influencer lens.

You possess experience and understanding in how any strategy or approach has the ability to help shape, change and connect with audiences, shift perspectives, create impact and ultimately drive people to action. You will be expected to quickly align to Spotify’s global storytelling and priorities in order to activate influencers to effectively help tell our story.

Above all, your work will impact the way the world understands and learns about Spotify’s global business, offers, products, creators, and news via influencer.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee and execute all UK influencer communications work, including management of the VIP programme, activating influencers for campaigns, proactive influencer opportunites, garnering influencer appearances at events, and more.
  • Create an always on influencer approach through education on the Spotify platform and product, access to Spotify Premium, invites to local and Global events and experiences, access to the office studio spaces, and access to creators, executives and stakeholders within Spotify
  • Build powerful cross-functional stakeholder relationships within the business to truly power up the role of influencer across Spotify UK through paid, owned, earned and external channels
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with a wide network of influencers through conversation, connection and dialogue to help drive positive impact for Spotify
  • Craft unique and compelling stories around Spotify that make influencers a part of the story and encourage them to share our news, products, launches and beyond
  • Ensure a consistent and aligned approach to any narrative/messaging that is being pushed through influencer channels
  • Work closely with the Communications team to build objectives, consistency and guardrails across UK markets, as well as help build best practices for Global markets
  • Lead all agency and external partner relationships on influencer and understand how best to use global resources to amplify any influencer relations initiatives in the UK and beyond
  • Who You Are

  • 8 years relevant experience in influencer relations & communications
  • Have run a successful influencer program for a tech, entertainment or consumer company
  • Strong understanding of digital PR/marketing and social media is critical
  • Strong understanding on how to execute earned influencer relations and organic relationships
  • Strong understanding of the UK influencer landscapeExtensive experience with communications supporting a global company
  • Motivated self-starter with hands-on attitude
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong influencer relations skills and influencer contacts/relationships
  • Strong project management and agency management skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a hectic and very fast-moving industry and environment
  • Collaborative individual who enjoys partnering closely across teams and departments to build and distribute the most impactful communications possible
  • Strong strategic and resourceful problem-solver
  • Ability to balance short- and long-term priorities
