As an Engineering Manager at our company, you will play a critical role in leading and mentoring a team of highly skilled software engineers to develop and deliver world-class cloud-based software solutions. You will be responsible for driving the technical vision, strategy, and execution of our products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, scalability, and performance. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and QA, to define and prioritize product features and enhancements. Additionally, you will actively contribute to the recruitment and onboarding of top engineering talent, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers to design, develop, and maintain cloud-based software solutions.
  • Define and drive the technical vision, strategy, and roadmap for our products, aligning with business goals and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with product management, design, and QA teams to define, prioritize, and deliver high-impact features and enhancements.
  • Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of our products, operating at petabyte scale, by implementing best practices and architectural patterns.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the engineering team.
  • Provide technical guidance, feedback, and coaching to team members to help them grow and excel in their roles.
  • Champion engineering best practices, code quality standards, and development processes to ensure high-quality, maintainable software.
  • Drive recruitment efforts to attract top engineering talent and actively participate in the hiring and onboarding process.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in software engineering, with a focus on cloud-based technologies and distributed systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience (3+ years) leading and managing engineering teams in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Strong technical expertise in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go) and experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices for building scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.
