Senior / Staff Software Engineer (Observability / SRE)

📋 Description

• Design and lead Waabi's monitoring/observability stack for cloud and on-prem.
• Develop workloads and benchmarks and test suites for hardware choices.
• Analyze and optimize performance across hardware, firmware, Linux, runtimes, and services with profiling tools.
• Build automation and observability tooling for CI/CD-based perf regression, telemetry, alerts.
• Collaborate with client teams to support observability requirements.
• Influence system architecture and tooling decisions to improve Waabi's infrastructure.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years software engineering or systems/perf engineering with end-to-end ownership.
• Proficient in Python, Rust, or C/C++; strong CS fundamentals and system design.
• Hands-on with Linux internals and perf tooling (perf, eBPF, flamegraphs, tracing).
• Experience with Kubernetes, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Proven track record of clear communication and leading cross-functional efforts.
