Senior Hardware Engineer, Lidar

📋 Description

• Lead development of radar or lidar sensing systems from concept to launch.
• Define sensor performance targets, eval criteria, and validation plans.
• Drive sensor benchmarking and down-selection across suppliers.
• Lead supplier engagement, including reviews and design maturity.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to meet vehicle ODD and perception needs.
• Ensure sensor architectures are robust, manufacturable, and cost-aware.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in EE/CS/Robotics or related; 7+ years’ relevant exp.
• 8+ years automotive sensing with hands-on radar or lidar and leadership.
• Strong first-principles understanding of radar or lidar sensing.
• Proficient in Python with NumPy, Pandas, and Jupyter.
• Experience with Wireshark, CAN tools, ROS/rosbag, automotive Ethernet.
• Ability to analyze logs and test data for sensor performance and credibility.
