Senior Engineering Manager

📋 Description

• Co-lead cross-functional team with Product Manager to improve retention and habit-building features.
• Own the team's roadmap, execution, and outcomes, balancing speed and reliability.
• Use data and rapid experimentation to inform decisions; design tests to optimize retention.
• Attract, grow, and retain diverse engineering talent; coach and develop the team.
• Set engineering quality standards and processes that balance speed and long-term maintainability.
• Collaborate with product, design, research, and other teams to deliver cohesive learner experiences across in-app and out-of-app surfaces.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years leading and growing a software engineering team; hiring and mentoring.
• Track record shipping multi-engineer, multi-week projects with measurable business impact.
• Strong product instincts; data-driven with metrics and A/B testing experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across engineering, product, design, and data.
• Technical depth to guide architecture, set quality standards, and mentor engineers.
• Ability to work from or relocate to Pittsburgh, PA or New York, NY.
