Job Summary: This position is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the accounting operations of the Company, including but not limited to financial reporting, compliance, and recordkeeping.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in compliance with accounting standards (i.e., GAAP)

· Monitor actual financial performance against the budget, analyze variances, and provide recommendations to enhance cost control and operational efficiency

· Establish and maintain robust internal control processes to safeguard Company assets, prevent fraud, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations; regularly review and update control procedures as required

· Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; provide meaningful insights and recommendations to Senior Management to support strategic decision making

· Work with advisors to ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns

· Coordinate and collaborate with external auditors during the annual financial audit; address findings and implement recommended improvements

· Evaluate, implement, and maintain financial software and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial processes

· Maintain knowledge of changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance

· Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them

· Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Job Duties:

· Carries out supervisory duties in accordance with the Company’s objectives, policies, and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: planning, assigning, and directing work, interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing employee concerns, and partnering with HR to resolve escalated employee matters.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.

Education:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university

· Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Experience:

· Proven experience in a progressively responsible financial leadership role

· Public accounting experience with construction accounting preferred

· Seven years of managerial experience

· Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance

· Knowledge of industry specific accounting practices

· Extensive corporate finance and audit experience

Technical Skills:

· Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency

· Advanced proficiency using financial software and Microsoft Excel

· Experience using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and/or the ability to quickly learn the Company’s ERP software

Soft Skills:

· Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights

· Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

· Ability to lead, teach, train, and motivate staff

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing

· Individuals must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets Company requirements

· Ability to sit at a desk for 6-8 hours per day

· Ability to work on a computer for 6-8 hours per day

· May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
