The Role:

As the Vice President of Finance at Product School, you will be a key member of our senior leadership team, overseeing the Accounting and Finance function.

What you'll do:

• You will lead and mentor a team of 3-4 accountants. You will foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensure high-quality and efficient work output from the team, and promote professional development and best practices
• You will oversee the preparation of monthly close and statutory annual financial statements. This includes collaboration with external CPAs and tax consultants across various geographies to ensure compliance and accuracy. You will supervise accounts payable and receivable functions, maintaining robust financial controls
• You will provide executive management as well as our investors with comprehensive reports and insightful commentary,  to enhance understanding and drive the company's financial performance
• You will prepare accurate and high-quality annual financial plans, and manage our monthly forecasting and variance analysis, providing insights for informed decision-making
• You will provide strategic decision support to executive management through advanced financial modeling and business case development. You will serve as sparring partner and ‘strict advisor’ for other business functions

This role could be a good fit for you if:

• You have 10 to 15 years of Accounting/Finance experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a high-growth environment
• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA, CPA and/or CFA preferred
• You have a proven track record of implementing process and efficiency improvements, or establishing a Finance function within a startup 
• You are proficient in both Accounting and FP&A / Strategic Finance, with the ability to provide comprehensive financial decision support to the team
• You have strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience with accounting software (eg, QuickBooks), and proven experience partnering with external auditors and managing statutory audits
• You are a strategic thinker with superior analytical abilities, capable of translating complex financial information into clear and compelling narratives
