Principal Software Engineer

📋 Description

• Design, architect, and build highly complex enterprise software applications.
• Articulate complex technical concepts to team and stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into simple, effective technical solutions.
• Research, identify, test, certify, and select technologies for delivery.
• Maximize performance, uptime, and supportability of the product.
• Develop scalable services using Java, J2EE, Jetty, REST/SOAP, PostgreSQL, Spring.
• Design security-focused solutions and monitor vulnerabilities in third-party products.
• Design and implement new interface components with product owner and teams.
• Maintain existing components and resolve customer-reported problems.
• Enhance components with new capabilities while maintaining compatibility.
• Provide feedback on test plans, test cases, and methodologies.
• Research new technologies for product improvements and roadmap.
• Collaborate with stakeholders; report progress and risks with mitigations.
• Mentor less-experienced team members.

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years in Java server-side development; UI JS experience a plus.
• Experience building scalable SaaS with Java, J2EE, REST/SOAP, and Spring.
• Strong Java and J2EE programming skills.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical staff.
• Solid understanding of IT infra and DevOps; a plus.
• Understanding operational challenges in large systems.
• Proven track record delivering projects on time.
• Interface with customer-facing teams to gather requirements.
• Provide technical guidance for troubleshooting and resolution.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development.
