About the role:

Your responsibility as a Lead Cassandra database administrator (DBA) will be the performance, integrity and security of a database. You'll be involved in the planning and development of the database, as well as in troubleshooting any issues on behalf of the users.

Requirement:

6+ Years of experience in Configure, install, and manageCassandraclusters.

Managenode addition and deletioninCassandraclusters.

MonitorCassandraclustersand implement performance monitoring.

Configuremulti-DCCassandraclusters.

OptimizeCassandraperformance, includingquery optimizationand other related optimization tools and techniques.

Implement and maintainCassandrasecurity and integrity controls, includingbackup and disaster recovery strategies.

UpgradeCassandraclusters.

Utilizecqlsh, Grafana, and Prometheusfor monitoring and administration.

Design and create database objects such asdata table structures(Cassandracolumn families/tables).

Performdata migration, backup, restore & recoveryforCassandra.

Resolve performance issues, includingblocking and deadlocks(as applicable inCassandra's distributed context).

Implement and maintain security and integrity controls including backup and disaster recovery strategies fordocument management systems and MySQL databases(if these are part of theCassandraAdministrator's broader scope, otherwise this point might be less relevant for a pureCassandrarole).

Translatebusiness requirements into technical design specificationsand prepare high-level documentation for database design and database objects.

Extensive work experience onquery optimization, script optimization, and other relatedoptimization tools and techniques.

Strong understanding ofCassandradatabase architecture.

Experience withbackup and recovery proceduresspecific toCassandra.

Knowledge ofdatabase security best practices.

Experience withdata migration and transformation.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
