Manufacturing Engineer (NPI)

📋 Description

• Drive APQP at CM/Tier1 sites to ensure SOP and PPAP deliverables.
• Provide DFM/DFA feedback during APQP Phase 2 for CM tooling and repeatable builds.
• Validate component PPAPs with SQE across sub-tier vendors.
• Own mechanical assembly, test, and integration of sensors and actuators.
• Collaborate with software to deploy End-of-Line testers and calibrations.
• Lead Process PPAP deliverables and Poka-Yoke risk mitigation.
• Design and qualify tooling, gauges; ensure GD&T and MSA compliance.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• NPI & CM oversight at Tier 1/contract manufacturers.
• Technical ownership of launch cycle from prototype to production.
• Advanced APQP & PPAP: Control Plans, Process Flows, Gage R&R; DV to PV.
• Proficient with Solidworks for reviewing fixtures, pallets, inspection jigs.
• GD&T & Metrology using CMM/OMM/vision systems.
• 8D RCCA problem solving; ECOs and PLM tools.
• Experience with TIM, torque, sensor calibration.
• Present manufacturing readiness with data-driven insights for Phase 4.
• Bonus qualifications: automotive/aerospace/AV/EV exposure; CQE or Six Sigma.
