Magnopus, a trailblazer in innovative design and immersive experiences, is seeking a highly skilled Game Designer to join our dynamic team. As a Lead Designer, you will be at the forefront of our creative projects, leading design teams to deliver outstanding results that align with client needs and project goals. This role is integral to maintaining the high standards of design excellence that Magnopus is known for, and you will play a crucial part in driving innovation and quality across various digital spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a design project team, ensuring high-quality results within project constraints and aligning with client/creative briefs.
  • Supervise and provide direction for routine and non-routine tasks, guiding team members to effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with project leadership to manage unplanned tasks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure all managed projects meet creative, quality, and budgetary goals.
  • Communicate project goals effectively, ensuring the team’s work aligns with project objectives and end-user needs.
  • Identify and communicate risks and dependencies, collaborating with project management to implement effective solutions.
  • Define and maintain design processes and workflows, facilitating communication and collaboration between designers and other disciplines.
  • Work closely with external partners such as clients and outsourcers to ensure seamless integration and alignment of project goals.
  • Mentor and support junior members of the team, fostering a learning culture and encouraging personal and professional growth.
  • Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency in human-centred design principles, prototyping, testing, and analysing designs.
  • Proven experience leading innovative design solutions using real-time game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity.
  • Strong knowledge of tools to communicate and implement vision across different devices.
  • Experience mentoring, prioritising, and planning work for project design teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, from planning and development to delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally with clients, with the ability to give, receive, and act on constructive feedback.
  • Experience running teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to understand and consider the needs and dependencies of others.
