Logistics and Inventory Planner

📋 Description

• Determine material needs and generate PO aligned with production schedules.
• Collaborate with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams to ensure supply.
• Build strong supplier relationships to ensure supply continuity and prevent delays.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments with accurate, compliant docs.
• Optimize transport modes and routes for cost efficiency and on-time delivery.
• Maintain Material Planning and Logistics master data for accuracy.
• Identify stockouts and shortages through proactive planning.
• Analyze variances, perform root-cause investigations, and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor inventory obsolescence to minimize financial exposure.
• Collaborate with Finance and Operations to support payments, goals, and cost control.
• Travel: 25% (including international)

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or related field.
• 5–7 years in inventory management, logistics, or supply chain planning.
• Experience with purchasing, inventory management, and supplier coordination.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.
• Understanding of freight forwarding and international logistics.
• Proficiency with ERP, TMS, and MRP systems.
• Master's degree in Logistics or related field. (Bonus Qualifications)
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA. (Bonus Qualification)
• Background in demand planning or forecasting. (Bonus)
• Experience with 3PL providers. (Bonus)
• Vendor and supplier negotiation. (Bonus)
• Knowledge of customs, brokerage, export compliance. (Bonus)
• APICS CPIM certification. (Bonus)
