Roles and Responsibilities:

• Work in an engineering team providing software development and testing functionalities in data center networks, network security and enterprise routing solutions.

• Primary responsibilities includes development of features, fixing software issues as well as developing & integrating test automation

• Interface with product management, and customer front-end teams to get requirement clarity and develop design/development strategies, test strategy including topology and test automation - to develop and validate the features end-to-end at scale with network security needs.

• Understand various customer deployments, use-cases and customer found issues to validate customer profiles and develop complex features, and address any gaps in the test coverage

• Design, develop and test end-to-end solutions; and document the contents including performance, scale and security.

• Collaborate with other peer teams to translate software requirements into high-quality test automation suites for functional regression as well as for end to end validation

• Debug, troubleshoot and provide solutions on issues reported - can be from internal stakeholders or end customers

• Support from engineering during customer escalations and help the customers to deploy Extreme Networks’ solutions in their environment.

Specific Skills:

• Work experience of 8 to 12 years in networking domain.

• Excellent C/C++, Golang Programming skills

• Work Experience in DPDK/VPP based solutions.

• Good experience in data center networking, dataplane and forwarding areas.

• Experience in developing CNF/VNF or any of the CNCF components is an added plus.

• Experience in programmable packet pipelines is an added plus

• Work experience on Marvel Octeon or similar NPU is an added plus

Common qualifications

• Candidates should have a Bachelors/Masters degree in Engineering in computer science, Electronics & communications or related ones

• Experience in working on Cloud Native technologies with microservices based architecture using Kubernetes, Docker, etc.

• Good Analytical, Problem Solving and Communication Skills.

• Good knowledge on SDLC Tools like Git, JIRA, Confluence, qTest.
