Introduction:

We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our DevOps team. Someone who is a thoughtful leader who is a team builder, encourages growth, thrives on ownership, and drives accountability through results. We also desire those who can balance rapid development with high product quality, are innovative and comfortable with ambiguity, and passionate about building scalable and robust systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a global team of engineers in support of our cloud infrastructure and development operations. Set goals, assign tasks, and review performance.
  • Own and drive our Cloud infrastructure growth roadmap
  • Collaborate with other engineering managers on building the necessary infrastructure to support our application.
  • Work closely with our Information Security team on maintaining our compliance and protecting our cloud infrastructure.
  • Mentor engineers on cloud architecture best practices and building scalable applications.
  • Promote teamwork and problem resolution. Foster an environment of open discussion, debate, and questioning while always maintaining professionalism and respect for others.
  • About You

  • 3+ years of experience managing devops/infrastructure teams.
  • 7+ years of experience as a devops, site reliability, or software engineer
  • Experience hiring, developing and leading engineering talent.
  • Experienced in building & maintaining AWS environments/infrastructure
  • Working experience with AWS services: ECS (Fargate), ECR, S3, RDS (Aurora), VPC, IAM, QuickSight, CloudFront, CloudWatch, SQS, ElastiCache, Lambda.
  • Experienced in building & maintaining CI/CD pipelines (leveraging tools such as GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, Drone CI, or other tools)
  • Experienced in setting up and automating alerting & monitoring systems (leveraging tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, Sentry, Splunk, etc.)
  • Experienced in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CDK)
  • Experienced using Python or other scripting languages in automating infrastructure tasks
  • Experience creating and documenting system design and architecture.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to work effectively within and across departments.
  • Excellent organization skills - ability to work effectively and independently prioritize tasks.
