As a member of the Everbridge Engineering team, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of modular, extensible, and reusable test cases/scripts. In this role, you will be integrated with an engineering team and will partner with other team members to drive quality best practices into the application development process. Promoting continuous improvement, you will identify opportunities to maximize the customer experience and reduce the test cycle time by improving techniques and tooling, eliminating waste, and creating a collaborative, proactive approach to quality.

What You'll Do:

  • Design, plan, and implement manual and automation testing for new features, interfaces, and applications.
  • Collaborate with software developers and product managers in scrum teams to deliver high-quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Develop automation test frameworks, and tools, and maintain test environments.
  • Estimate QA efforts, analyse and communicate test results, and identify potential quality issues according to defined processes, escalating as required.
  • Contribute to improving test coverage, release velocity, and production health, acting as a champion for product quality.
  • Promptly provide support to resolve production issues as required, ensuring minimal impact on the customer experience.
  • What You'll Bring:

  • 2+ years of experience in testing enterprise-grade/highly scalable, distributed applications, products, and services.
  • Proficiency in Python or similar programming language for test automation (Python preferred).
  • Must have experience in API test automation using Pytest or similar tools.
  • Exposure to mobile automation using tools such as Appium and Patrol.
  • Experience with one or more version control systems such as GitHub or GitLab.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly learn new skills and technologies.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Good understanding of CI/CD and DevOps concepts is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
