Senior Support Engineer at Elastic

Location: United Kingdom • Employment Type: Full-time

Elastic is seeking a Senior Support Engineer to join its UK team. In this role you will provide high-quality technical assistance to Elastic's customers and help them maximize the value of the Elastic Stack.

Overview

As a Senior Support Engineer you will be responsible for delivering expert technical support to Elastic customers, diagnosing and resolving incidents, and collaborating with product engineering teams to improve product quality and customer success. This is a Senior level role based in the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical support for Elastic products to customers via email, phone, and chat.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash, Beats) and integration points.
  • Reproduce issues, develop steps to reproduce, and create actionable customer-facing fixes and workarounds.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to escalate, triage, and drive timely resolutions.
  • Contribute to knowledge base, best practices, and customer enablement materials.
  • Mentor junior team members and participate in on-call rotations as needed.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in technical support, systems engineering, or software development.
  • Deep knowledge of Elasticsearch and the Elastic Stack; familiarity with Kibana, Logstash, and Beats is a plus.
  • Strong Linux/Unix administration and scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple customer engagements and priorities effectively.
