About the team

Reporting to the Director of Marketing Operations and working closely with the Creative Director, this role focuses on managing the creative operations function, including resource management, prioritisation, and project delivery. You will manage a team of three creative project managers, ensuring efficient project execution from briefing to completion for all creative projects in the team.

About the role

Responsible for developing Deliveroo’s creative capabilities and operations, both within the internal Creative Studio and with global third-party partners, in line with strategic objectives.

Key to success in this role will be strong stakeholder management, effective communication, and the ability to balance and prioritise workloads in a fast-paced, agile environment. You will collaborate with business units and channel teams to deliver impactful brand creative and drive operational excellence. Please note, this is a 12 month fixed term contract and will work under a hybrid working model, requiring 3 days a week from our London HQ and home. 

What you'll be doing

  • Oversee the creative team budget for agencies and freelance resources, ensuring efficient spend and continuous monitoring/reporting.
  • Collaborate with global marketing, local markets, procurement, legal, and finance teams to manage creative operations, including forecasting, reporting, and planning quarterly projects.
  • Manage the quarterly project planning process with key stakeholders, defining needs, scoping resources, and ensuring cost-efficient delivery of assets across markets.
  • Line management three creative project managers, offering support and guidance on studio operations and handling escalations.
  • Manage external relationships for creative business applications, such as Airtable and Pageproof.
  • Serve as the escalation point for cross-functional creative process issues, promoting streamlined workflows.
  • Report on studio output, project time allocation, and creative effectiveness to Director and Exec audiences quarterly.
  • Assist in the operational setup and recruitment for the in-house Creative Studio.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing creative operations within an in-house creative department or creative agency.
  • Experience building relationships with internal & external teams and will motivate and challenge stakeholders and the creative team  in order to get the best results.
  • Proficient in budget management and financial reporting.
  • Managerial  experience, within a related field or industry, with a proven track record of managing teams effectively
  • Familiarity with project management tools and software to improve workflows and enhance team efficiency.
  • Deep understanding of the creative process and strategies to maintain optimal performance within creative teams.
  • Extensive experience managing resources for large creative operations teams, overseeing multiple projects strategically.
  • Proven experience in prioritising business briefs and team priorities, ensuring strategic alignment and efficient resource management to meet organisational goals.
