Overview
Databricks is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative to join our APAC sales team in Sydney, Australia. In this role, you will identify and qualify new business opportunities for the Databricks platform, helping customers unlock the value of data-driven analytics.
What you'll do
- Outbound prospecting to potential customers via phone, email, social channels, and events to build a healthy pipeline.
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads, conducting discovery calls to understand business challenges and map them to Databricks solutions.
- Collaborate with Account Executives to advance opportunities through the sales funnel and coordinate next steps.
- Maintain accurate records in the CRM (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and regularly update pipeline metrics.
- Partner with marketing and product teams to refine messaging and target top accounts in APAC.
What we're looking for
- 1-3 years of experience in a SaaS or technology sales development role (BDR/SDR).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; comfortable presenting to customers.
- Ability to learn complex products quickly and convey value succinctly.
- Resilience, curiosity, and a drive to exceed targets in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with CRM and prospecting tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator) is a plus.
