Crowdbotics is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our customer-facing team. This team will build software for our customers leveraging the Crowdbotics platform. The team will own the technical architecture, engineering, and maintenance of the custom software backend and services backbone. Our backend API and services power the Crowdbotics platform that you and our customers use to create applications with minimal coding, initiate and monitor application development projects, and manage all aspects of their application lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Provisioning via Terraform to Azure, AWS and/or GCP
  • Setup and configuration of metric pipelines and databases
  • Monitoring and alerting for critical system metrics
  • Improving the uptime and reliability of core services
  • Providing reporting tools that allow us to understand usage and spending by account
  • Credential management for third-party services consumed by generated apps
  • Keep spending under control by implementing best practices to ensure high-efficiency usage

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience as a DevOps/MLOps Engineer, preferably with a SaaS or B2B organization.
  • 3+ years experience with Azure and Infrastructure as Code. Experience with AWS is a plus
  • Experience with container orchestration systems for automating software deployment, scaling, and management.  
  • Experience working on agile teams.
  • Experience with setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI platforms like Jenkins and CircleCI.
  • Knowledge of either Python or Ruby is required (python preferred).
  • Experience with containerized applications. Docker required, Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
  • Report and escalate issues to management as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Empathic and good communicator. Communicate effectively with remote team members using real-time and asynchronous communications.
Bonus attributes: 
  • Experience with Crowdbotics Platform and previous experience with application development is a plus.
  • Previous experience with monitoring systems and time-series databases.
  • Previous experience in an SRE role.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to craft messaging for internal, customer and executive audiences.
  • Experience working with remote teams and ability to work independently in a remote setting and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated success working with and managing technical, enterprise customers.
  • Be a first class stakeholder in all parts of planning and executing software development.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong desire to help customers succeed.
  • Previous experience on large enterprise projects for Fortune 100 accounts is a plus.

Although this position is remote, you will need to be available and working during US business hours (9:00am to 5:00pm US)
