CommonLit is a nonprofit EdTech organization dedicated to providing high-quality literacy instruction to low-income students and students of color to prepare them for success in college and careers. We operate a free online reading and writing program,

www.commonlit.org, that is used by millions of teachers and students worldwide each month. We are a quickly growing team of passionate professionals - many of whom are former teachers. Our team is now over 120 full-time employees spread across ~30 states.

The Opportunity

CommonLit is looking for a former educator to join our rapidly growing team as a District Success Account Coordinator. This candidate should have at least 3 years of experience working as a classroom teacher or in a role that supports K-12 students and teachers.

As an Account Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day work of our District Success team and ensuring that CommonLit’s school and district customers have an exceptional experience with our English Language Arts program. You’ll have the opportunity to support with customer setup, lead introductory trainings for new customers, maintain and improve team organizational systems, oversee key operational tasks such as the coordination of team meetings, and more.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3+ years of demonstrated success as a teacher
  • Ability to accurately convey complex information via writing
  • Extremely strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Enjoys working with technology, and can quickly troubleshoot technical issues
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Solution-oriented and shows strong initiative
  • Bonus: Experience working with Salesforce is helpful but not required
  • Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage the partner onboarding process, including the technical setup of user accounts and rostering/integration solutions.
  • Support on partner calls by documenting key takeaways and action items, contributing to the continuous improvement of our partnerships.
  • Facilitate introductory webinars, guiding users through technical aspects and best practices for using CommonLit’s digital platform.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of partner resources intended to support the successful use of CommonLit’s full instructional program.
  • Support the onboarding process for new team members.
  • Responsible for maintaining team organizational systems and overseeing operational tasks, often collaborating with team members to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Assist in coordinating team activities, meetings, and communication to enhance overall efficiency.
  • Proactively contribute to the development and improvement of internal processes.
  • Assist in the contract renewal process, providing team members with operational support.
  • Contribute to strategies for improving customer satisfaction and retention based on health monitoring insights.

    Salary: $70,000/year
