Cognite's Global Delivery

organization, spanning offices in Austin & Houston, TX, Oslo, and Tokyo, is a diverse collective of Project Managers, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Solution Architects. With expertise across Oil and Gas, Power, and Manufacturing, we are dedicated to delivering flexible, scalable projects that unlock the full potential of our flagship product, CDF. Together, we make previously concealed data come to life, empowering heavy asset industries to operate more efficiently and sustainably.

Our Project Management team, comprising 20 high-performance professionals globally, brings a wealth of experience from management consulting, industry, and software development. We are committed to continuous refinement, fostering individual growth, and supporting Cognite's rapid expansion.

A typical day in the life of a Project Manager in Cognite:

As a Project Manager at Cognite, you will spearhead teams driving our customers' digital transformations, liberating and maximizing the value of their data. In this role, initiative and creative problem-solving are key. You will lead projects, some co-lead or lead buy partners while collaborating with Data Scientists, Solution Architects, and Domain Experts to design, develop, and operationalize digital solutions across various industries.

You will serving as a crucial link between customers and Cognite's engineering and product management teams, your ability to communicate effectively, solve complex problems, and comprehend intricate technology is paramount.

We believe most of these should match your experience

Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Math, or a related field.

2+ years of experience in technical (software) project management, digital transformation, or software consulting.

Passion for driving change and creating success for customers, with multiple stakeholders and partners involved.

Enthusiasm for overcoming challenges and setting ambitious, innovative goals.

Proven ability to take initiative, build strong teams, and cultivate customer and partner relationships.

Capability to thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous working environment, yet be able to add structure to our deliveries.

Familiarity with IoT, cloud solutions, or machine learning models is a plus.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to navigate stakeholder landscapes.

Willingness to travel, if necessary.
