As Backend Engineer in Brandwatch, you are responsible for developing high-qualitycode that can improve current solutions or provide new functionalities to our clients.

You will be part of the entire journey that brings a feature from a discovery state todelivery on production.

What you will do:

Write elegant, testable, well documented code

Develop quality microservice solutions with cutting edge technologies togetherwith dedicated team members to help fulfil our different business goals

Build highly parallel data processing pipelines, and fluent APIs

Help design, implement, and improve our services while helping us adopt bestpractices

Store data efficiently in a matching storage engine

Define accurate domain models

Be mindful of the business - by communicating with your colleagues andmanagement, help us ensure that we are building the right thing at the righttime

What you have:

Minimum 3 years hands-on experience on a production system as developer

Good knowledge of Java and Spring framework, we are using Java 17

Good knowledge of RESTful APIs, their design and implementation

Familiarity with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL)

Experience with building and/or running large-scale applications on aPaaS/SaaS cloud

English language fluency

Familiarity with Redis is a plus, but not mandatory

Experience with messaging technologies, Kafka is a plus

Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
