The function of the Executive Director is to lead the Company’s business in the financial services field, oversee all the company’s operations & day-to-day activities and establish a strategy to develop business in compliance with Bermuda’s laws and regulations.

Qualification and experience:

  • A university certificate along with experience for not less than 5 years in financial markets or in the relevant fields
  • A strong working knowledge of Bermuda's financial services regulations and requirements
  • The experience of holding a directorship position is preferable
  • Have strong leadership skills
  • Be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, where non-routine and/or complex issues are common
  • Be able to handle complex issues, projects, and processes
  • Demonstrate strong moral and ethical principles. A willingness to learn, accept accountability, demonstrate initiative and support effective cooperation
  • Strong sense of integrity and responsibility.
  • Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Design, review and revise the Company’s business strategy and objectives
  • Oversee and controls day-to-day Company operations, manage daily business activities
  • Conduct business monitoring, general finance, and budget planning, business reporting as required
  • Promoting, demonstrating and embedding a strong compliance culture
  • Liaise and report to Bermuda Monetary Authority and the relevant state bodies
  • Establish and maintain business relationships with the partners and vendors
  • Act as a key person for the oversight of all outsourcing relationships, including the implementation of effective and sustainable controls
  • Oversee systems and controls to identify and mitigate potential areas of business vulnerability and risks/gaps and develop/implement pragmatic corrective action plans
  • Prepare reports for the Board and/or shareholders, auditors, and external state bodies as appropriate
  • Keep up to date with all relevant regulatory changes as well as evolving best practices, carrying out gap and business impact analysis
  • Manage a team of professionals in Bermuda.
