Overview

Canonical is seeking a Partner Sales Executive for Japan to lead our channel business within the APAC region. This remote role focuses on working with distributors and resellers to drive revenue, grow the partner ecosystem, and enable joint success in the Japanese market.

Role Summary

Lead our channel business for geographic territory (distributors and resellers) in Japan. Collaborate cross-functionally with Alliances and other internal teams to recruit, enable, and manage channel partners while achieving sales targets.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute the channel sales strategy for Japan within the APAC region
Recruit, onboard, and enable channel partners (distributors and resellers)
Co-sell with Canonical teams to drive revenue and pipeline growth
Manage partner relationships, metrics, and quarterly business reviews
Forecast accurately and contribute to regional sales planning
Collaborate with Alliances and other departments on joint initiatives

Requirements

Proven experience in channel sales or partnerships within technology/software
Strong communication skills in Japanese and English
Ability to work remotely and collaborate across regions
Willingness to travel as needed

Nice-to-Have

Experience with open source ecosystems or Canonical products
