WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for a technical localization project manager to support the Braze Language Services team. This APAC (Singapore) or remote based role will work cross functionally, and globally, to support business critical localization needs and incorporate your technical expertise to solve localization nuances. You will be responsible for executing on localization projects, tasks, and coordination while managing translation projects from beginning to end, large and small. 

As Localization Technical Project Manager,  you will own core tent pole asset and marketing asset project coordination, as well as alignment with regional stakeholders for delivery of  projects. You will work with virtually every department at Braze including Engineering, Product, Marketing, Training and Enablement, Support, and others to collaborate and promote localization best-practices and roll out. 

In addition, you will participate in everyday tasks such as meeting with regional stakeholders to identify language/localization nuances. Communicating regularly with key stakeholders will be required, as well as managing relationships and deliverables with localization vendors. 

Finally, you will report to the Language Services Senior Technical Program Manager to ensure that impactful project and business decisions are made.  You will be responsible for managing, leading, and meeting your targeted project goals and OKRs which will be created and reviewed quarterly. These will be measured against the localization program metrics, objectives, and results to ensure strategic alignment across the business. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Coordinate, lead and manage localization projects for the all departments 
  • Ensure on-time delivery of localization projects for required releases by working directly with localization vendors and stakeholders such as Engineering, Product, Marketing, Training and Enablement, Support
  • Implementing the localization strategy, processes and guidelines from start to finish within your region
  • Managing our Translation Management System operations  
  • Coordinating and managing translation vendors, reviewers, and internal departments
  • Working with internal and external vendors to identify any potential business blockers and ensure a smooth translation workflow
  • Tracking and monitoring of a translation project, reporting of progress to internal stakeholders 
  • Assessing project risk through prioritization and other means 
  • Maintaining and updating playbooks, Confluence, and Highspot with updated processes 
  • Coordinating the creation and maintenance of glossaries and style guides for our core languages and locales 

WHAT YOU HAVE

  • Experience in localization and project management ideally within the SaaS or tech industry, with 2+ years of experience 
  • Experience with TMS tools like Phrase, Smartling, etc. and machine translation strategies for optimization
  • Fluency in regional language is a plus to aid in review of content, specifically Korean
  • First-rate project management skills, including the ability to balance multiple, sometimes competing, priorities with tight timelines 
  • Firm grasp of and ability to communicate risk management scenarios
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to target communications up, down, and across the organization and to external partners
  • You have strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills 
  • Systems thinking and a strong sense of ownership to drive projects with interdependencies 
  • Broad experience in marketing localization, plus good understanding of technical projects
