Block is a leading global payments company powering Afterpay and digital commerce experiences. We are seeking a Relationship Manager in New Zealand to grow our Cash business unit and manage key client relationships.

Role Overview

As the Relationship Manager, you will own and nurture strategic relationships with clients in New Zealand, drive revenue growth, and ensure customer success. You will collaborate with Sales, Account Management, and cross-functional teams to deliver value and advocate for customer needs.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage strategic relationships with an assigned client portfolio in New Zealand.
Identify upsell opportunities and lead contract negotiations to maximize revenue.
Coordinate with product, operations, and risk teams to deliver seamless onboarding and ongoing service.
Provide regular business reviews, forecasts, and performance metrics to clients and internal stakeholders.
Maintain a deep understanding of Block's cash/payments offerings and market trends.

Requirements

Proven experience in relationship management or sales roles, preferably in payments/fintech.
Strong communication, negotiation, and solution-oriented mindset.
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and manage competing priorities.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (preferred).
Resident of New Zealand or eligible to work in New Zealand.

Compensation

Salary ranges are provided in the job posting and may vary by zone. For reference, Zone A range is approximately $164,000 – $245,000 USD per year (values rounded to the nearest thousand).
