Business Development Representative

Overview

Block is seeking a motivated Business Development Representative to join its Sales & Business Development team. This remote-friendly role at Block (Square) offers the opportunity to drive revenue by identifying and qualifying new prospects, supporting the sales cycle, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to win new business.

Location: Remote in North America (SF-area office optional). Compensation: 48,000 to 96,000 USD per year depending on experience. You will be part of the Sales & Account Management function, working to build a strong pipeline and deliver outcomes.

What you'll do

• Source and qualify new leads through outbound outreach and inbound inquiries
• Build and manage a healthy pipeline; book product demos and coordinate with Account Executives
• Maintain accurate data in CRM and report progress
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to optimize outreach and messaging
• Achieve or exceed target metrics

Qualifications

• 1-3 years in sales, business development, or related roles; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Excellent communication and listening skills; strong discovery abilities
• Proactive, organized, and capable of working independently in a remote setting
• Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales enablement tools
• Interest in fintech/payments is a plus
