This role supports a critical national security mission and requires an active U.S. Government TS/SCI Security Clearance with required polygraph.

Our team is seeking a Geospatial Programmer to support an advanced analytics group working on innovative geospatial research and development projects.

You’ll work side-by-side with analysts and engineers, building tools and automation that make complex geospatial data faster to process, easier to analyze, and more impactful at scale. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving real problems, improving workflows, and helping others succeed through better tools and smarter code.

What You’ll Do

Design and develop custom Python-based code, scripts, modules, libraries, and automation to support advanced geospatial analysisCreate dynamic and reusable geospatial analysis functions to augment, process, and analyze complex datasetsProvide ad hoc scripting and automation support to analysts, helping streamline geoprocessing workflows for large-scale dataMentor and assist analysts in writing custom scripts and code to meet evolving mission needsLeverage available computing resources to efficiently process very large geospatial datasetsImprove data management through deduplication, reduction, and optimization techniquesScale geospatial workflows from regional to global applications while maintaining performance and accuracy

Required

Active TS/SCI with required polygraph5+ years of professional experienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Geography, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)Strong Python development and automation skills for data analysis and workflow optimizationExperience modeling geospatial data and working with NoSQL and relational databases (Elasticsearch and PostgreSQL preferred)Solid geospatial and image-processing skills, with strong spatial reasoning abilityComfortable providing software troubleshooting, system integration, and technical support

Nice to Have

Experience working with big data and scalable analytics, including distributed computing environmentsBackground in data engineering, scalable pipeline development, and performance optimizationFamiliarity with modern software development workflows, including Git, Jira, and technical documentationA collaborative mindset and interest in improving how teams use data and tools
