Senior Data Engineer

Job Description

Senior Data Engineer at Amenitiz. We are seeking an experienced data engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data models that empower data-driven decision making across product, marketing, sales, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines using Python, SQL, and modern ETL/ELT tooling (Airflow, dbt).
• Build and optimize data models and data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake) to support analytics and product features.
• Collaborate with analytics, product, marketing, and engineering teams to understand data needs and translate them into scalable solutions.
• Ensure data quality, governance, monitoring, and observability; implement tests and alerts.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to data platform architecture decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles; strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and data warehousing.
• Proficiency with ETL/ELT tooling (Airflow, dbt) and data modeling techniques.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and security considerations.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Snowflake, Kafka, Spark, or streaming data.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
