Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Training Lab Architect/SRE to join our Platform Training team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our Education Lab systems, as well as providing technical support to our students, instructors and training partners. Training Lab Architect/SRE will report to Platform Training Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our Education Lab systems
- Monitor and troubleshoot issues that arise while setting up and during ongoing lab training classes including identifying root causes and implementing long-term fixes
- Develop and maintain monitoring tools to detect and diagnose issues quickly
- You will Work closely with stakeholders to ensure that our systems are reliable, scalable, and performant
- Collaborate with education team to understand the needs of students and instructors and ensure that the lab environment meets those needs
- You will Implement and maintain security best practices to ensure the safety of our systems and data
- You will provide technical support to our students, instructors and training partners as needed
- You will be an individual contributor with no managerial responsibilities.
- Min. of 8+ years of relevant Lab Architect/SRE or related experience.
Skills Required
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and load balancing
- Experience with configuration management tools, such as Ansible or Puppet
- Experience in deploying and managing resources on cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Experience with implementing and operating network and system and logging tools such as Nagios or ELK
