Zone Captain (Aircraft CAD Management)

📋 Description

• Collaborate across engineering to design high-reliability, safety-critical eVTOL systems.
• Zonal management of the digital mock-up for a large section of the aircraft.
• Control space and routing envelopes for subsystems in major aircraft zones.
• Ensure subsystems are accessible and maintainable.
• Manage interface requirements models (IRMs) for the zone.
• Hold regular design fly-through meetings to mature the design through CDR.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in mechanical design, systems integration, or structural engineering (aerospace preferred).
• Candidates with fewer years are encouraged to apply.
• BS/MS/PhD in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering fields.
• Expert CAD proficiency (NX preferred) with DMU tools for large assemblies.
• Mass budgeting, configuration management, and systems integration knowledge.
• Strong PM skills; aerospace dev and certification exp.
