Engineering Manager (APAX)

Overview

We’re seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the APAX engineering team at Zocdoc in New York. You will manage, mentor, and scale a team delivering high-quality software for healthcare products, collaborating closely with product, design, and data partners to drive impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a growing software engineering team focused on APAX initiatives.
• Set goals, manage roadmaps, and work with product, design, and data partners to deliver impactful features.
• Foster a culture of shipping reliable, scalable software with robust testing, monitoring, and maintainable architecture.
• Participate in hiring, performance reviews, and career development of engineers.
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams to deliver patient-facing features and improve user experience.
• Champion best practices in code quality, security, and CI/CD processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years in people management (or equivalent).
• Proven track record shipping customer-facing software and leading engineering teams.
• Strong system design and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent).

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare technology or HIPAA awareness.
• Familiarity with modern web technologies and cloud platforms.
