Director, HR Business Partner at Zocdoc

Zocdoc is a leading digital health marketplace that connects patients with healthcare providers. We are seeking a Director, HR Business Partner to lead our HRBP function and partner with executive leadership to drive people strategies that enable business growth.

Role Overview

The Director, HRBP will partner with senior leaders across the organization to design and implement people strategies, coach managers, and lead initiatives across talent, performance management, organizational design, and employee relations. This role is based in New York and will report to the VP of People.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing HRBP team to support business units.
  • Partner with executives to define workforce planning, organizational design, and talent management strategies.
  • Coach leaders on performance management, succession planning, and coaching culture.
  • Drive employee relations, policy development, and compliance with employment laws.
  • Lead DEI initiatives and ensure inclusive people practices across the company.
  • Leverage HRIS and people analytics to provide insights and drive decision making.
  • Collaborate with Recruiting, Total Rewards, Legal, and People Operations to execute programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 8+ years of HR experience with at least 3+ years in HRBP or people leadership roles; experience in healthtech or fast-growing tech environments.
  • Proven ability to influence, coach, and partner with executives; strong business acumen.
  • Strong knowledge of HRIS (Workday or equivalent) and people analytics.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and change-management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and manage in a fast-paced environment.
