About The Job:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Executive to support Brand clients. You will collaborate within the team, provide sound counsel and recommendation to clients and drive results inclusive of traditional and emerging public relations tactics. You will develop a comprehensive understanding of your accounts - their business, products, markets, and industry influencers and will convey this knowledge credibly to members of your account team and to the media, driving media relations results. You'll also be expected to mentor junior level team members assigned to your accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with client and vendor contacts and proactively manage correspondence.
  • Provide client service administration, including preparing client status and activity reports, attending meetings and conference calls, compiling media and competitor coverage, coordinating press tour pitching, scheduling and logistics.
  • Coach junior employees and demonstrate ability to supervise and delegate tasks appropriately.
  • Identify and develop earned media strategies and stories within a layered, integrated brand campaign.
  • Research, outline, write, edit, and proofread materials, including media lists, coverage trackers, key messages, media strategies, press releases, scripts, pitches, fact sheets, and more.
  • Assist with research, including analysis of media coverage and online conversations.
  • Have your finger on the pulse with social trends and cultural happenings and identify opportunities for clients to take part.
  • Proactively develop and offer fresh story angles to internal account teams and clients.
  • Think creatively about earned media tactics and how to breakthrough with editors among a competitive and ever-changing media landscape.
  • Coach junior employees and demonstrate ability to supervise and delegate tasks appropriately.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, completing them on time and on budget.
  • Practice effective project management while working with other team members and understand the 'big picture' of client programs.
  • About You:

  • You have an understanding of traditional and non-traditional PR tactics and the converged media landscape.
  • You are resourceful and tenacious when it comes to delivering results for clients and your team.
  • Building strong relationships is in your DNA and you are a true partner to both clients and your team.
  • Qualifications:

  • PR is your passion, and you have 3-5 years of experience.
  • People recognize your excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to think strategically, creatively and holistically about client programs is something that inspires you.
  • You are collaborative in spirit, and results driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
  • You have the courage to be fearless in presenting a point of view in brainstorms.
  • You have earned a Bachelor’s degree.
  • You have earned media placements by crafting newsworthy pitches, releases, contributed articles.
  • You have organizational skills that keep everything humming along.

    Compensation

    Pay range: $67,000 to $78,000 USD

    An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
