RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services and APIs forBackpack’s core platform.
  • Design and implementscalable microservicesarchitecture to support high-load operations.
  • Improvesystem performance,reliability, anddata consistencythrough optimized database design and query tuning.
  • Contribute toCI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and service monitoring.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps teams.
  • Conductcode reviews, mentor peers, and promote engineering best practices.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with strong documentation.
  • Stay updated on emerging backend technologies and tools relevant to large-scale systems.

    • REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ yearsof professional experience inbackend development(Node.js, TypeScript, or similar).
  • Strong understanding ofmicroservices,RESTful APIs, andevent-driven architectures.
  • Experience withSQL and NoSQL databases, query optimization, and data modeling.
  • Familiarity withcontainerization (Docker),orchestration (Kubernetes), andCI/CD pipelines.
  • Solid grasp ofOOP,design patterns, andsoftware architecture principles.
  • Experience withtesting frameworks(Jest, Mocha, or similar).
  • Proven ability to deliver robust, scalable, and high-quality backend solutions.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
  • English proficiency sufficient for reading and writing technical documentation.

    • Nice to Have

  • Experience withGraphQL,NestJS, orgRPC.
  • Familiarity withdistributed systems,caching strategies, andmessage queues(Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Previous experience ingaming,fintech, ordigital asset platforms.
