Job Summary

As a Tooling Project Engineer at Xometry, you will lead tooling initiatives for manufacturing projects, working with design and manufacturing teams to define tooling requirements, timelines, and budgets. This is a remote opportunity based in Asia.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end tooling projects from concept through qualification and production ramp
Define tooling specifications and requirements in collaboration with design and process teams
Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to source tooling components
Develop project schedules, track milestones, and manage budgets
Validate tooling designs using CAD tools and manufacturing methods; apply GD&T where appropriate
Troubleshoot tooling issues in production and implement corrective actions
Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and cost targets

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
3+ years of experience in tooling design/manufacturing or a closely related area
Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo)
Strong understanding of tooling processes (mold, die, fixtures) and prototyping
Excellent project management and communication skills; ability to work autonomously in a remote environment
Knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing cost considerations

Remote role (Asia region).
