Role Overview
Xometry is seeking a Staff Computational Engineer focused on 3D CAD to join our engineering team. In this role you will help drive the development and optimization of CAD workflows and computational geometry solutions that scale across our manufacturing platform.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize 3D CAD workflows and geometric modeling pipelines
- Implement computational methods to improve geometry quality, tolerancing, and meshing
- Evaluate, integrate, and advocate CAD tools and libraries within production systems
- Collaborate with product, design, and manufacturing teams to translate requirements into scalable CAD solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical strategy and best practices
Qualifications
- Strong background in computational engineering and 3D CAD
- Proficiency with programming languages such as C++ and Python
- Experience with geometric modeling, meshing, or finite element analysis is a plus
- Familiarity with CAD software tools and APIs
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
