About the Role

As a Senior Solutions Engineer at Xometry, you will partner with sales, product, and engineering teams to design and present customized manufacturing solutions for enterprise customers. You will translate complex customer requirements into scalable technical solutions, demonstrate product capabilities, and guide customers through API integrations, data exchanges, and advanced quoting workflows. This is a strategic, customer-facing role that blends technical depth with strong communication and collaboration across multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical pre-sales engagements with prospective customers, including discovery, requirements gathering, solution design, and product demonstrations.
• Architect end-to-end manufacturing solutions using Xometry’s platform, integrating CAD/CAM data, quoting, procurement, and API workflows.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Product to scope opportunities and respond to RFPs.
• Deliver compelling technical demonstrations and proofs of value to complex enterprise buyers.
• Capture customer needs and translate them into actionable product feedback and implementation plans.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of solutions engineering, technical sales, or related experience in manufacturing/engineering industries.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining, additive manufacturing, materials, and tolerances.
• Experience with API integrations, RESTful services, and data exchange between ERP/PLM/Matters systems.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and data formats (e.g., STEP, IGES) is a plus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
