The Role
As the Senior Director, Sales - Public Sector, you will lead and scale our public sector sales organization, driving revenue growth with federal, state, and local government customers. You will shape the public sector go-to-market strategy, build strategic relationships with procurement stakeholders, and oversee end-to-end deal cycles from qualification to close and renewal. This role is hybrid and based in North Bethesda, MD, reporting to the Head of Public Sector Sales.
What You'll Do
- Define and execute a scalable public sector sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Build and lead a cross-functional sales team including account executives, solutions engineers, and channel partners.
- Develop strategic relationships with government agencies, education, healthcare, and civil infrastructure buyers.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation and qualification to negotiation, closing, and renewals.
- Collaborate with product, pricing, and legal to deliver compliant, competitive proposals and RFP responses.
- Analyze market intelligence, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to inform product and go-to-market decisions.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years in public sector or enterprise sales with a track record of quota attainment.
- Strong relationships with government procurement professionals and decision-makers.
- Experience with complex bids, RFPs, and contract negotiations; ability to navigate procurement rules.
- Leadership experience in building and scaling teams; excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), forecasting, and pipeline management.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
