The Role
As Senior Director, Sales Engineering, you will lead and scale Xometry’s global sales engineering organization, partnering with Enterprise Sales, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to drive revenue growth and ensure customer success across complex, enterprise deals.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow the Sales Engineering team across regions
- Define and execute pre-sales strategy, solution architecture, and technical responses to RFPs and proposals
- Collaborate with Enterprise Sales to close strategic accounts
- Develop and maintain demo libraries, collateral, and technical content
- Align with Product and Engineering on roadmap feedback and competitive positioning
- Build scalable processes, metrics, and forecasts; manage budgets and headcount
- Represent customer voice in internal strategy, product, and delivery
- Ensure a superior technical experience for prospects and customers
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; MBA preferred
- 10+ years in sales engineering or technical pre-sales; 5+ years in leadership
- Deep experience with manufacturing tech, CNC, additive manufacturing, or related fields (preferred)
- Track record of winning large, complex enterprise deals
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Familiarity with CRM and quote tools (e.g., Salesforce); data-driven decision making
- Willingness to travel as needed
