Senior Applications Engineer, Tube Bending

Role Overview

As a Senior Applications Engineer specializing in Tube Bending at Xometry, you will lead technical support for tube bending projects, collaborate with customers to optimize manufacturability, and drive improvements across tooling, fixtures, and processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own tube bending applications from concept through production, including process development, tooling recommendations, and fixture design.
• Work with customers and internal teams to define requirements, provide technical quotes, and ensure manufacturability.
• Develop and optimize tube bending processes for efficiency, tolerance control, and quality.
• Collaborate with Product and Operations teams to drive design for manufacturability improvements and QA protocols.
• Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in tube bending, manufacturing engineering, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of tube bending processes, tooling, fixtures, and CNC machinery.
• Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and common manufacturing simulations.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications and apply DFMA principles.

Location

Hybrid – Denver, Colorado (Denver, CO). Some travel may be required to support customers and production partners.
