Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to capture bending requirements and translate them into manufacturable tube bending processes.
• Develop and optimize fixtures, tooling, programs, and process parameters for tube bending.
• Create process documentation, setup instructions, and inspection criteria.
• Run prototypes, validate tolerances, run test cycles, and ensure overall quality.
• Work with CAD models (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to develop tooling and fixtures.
• Provide technical support to sales, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Troubleshoot issues in bending setups, process deviations, and material variables.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in technical reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in tube bending, metal forming, or related processes.
• Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and 3D modeling.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, materials, tolerances, and fixture design.
• Experience with tube bending machines and tooling.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment in the Boston area.
