Senior Applications Engineer, Tube Bending at Xometry. As part of our engineering team, you will lead tube bending applications, working with customers and internal teams to design, optimize, and implement bending processes. This role blends hands-on design, manufacturing support, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-quality tubes for precision applications.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with customers to capture bending requirements and translate them into manufacturable tube bending processes.
- Develop and optimize fixtures, tooling, programs, and process parameters for tube bending.
- Create process documentation, setup instructions, and inspection criteria.
- Run prototypes, validate tolerances, run test cycles, and ensure overall quality.
- Work with CAD models (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to develop tooling and fixtures.
- Provide technical support to sales, manufacturing, and quality teams.
- Troubleshoot issues in bending setups, process deviations, and material variables.
- Mentor junior engineers and participate in technical reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in tube bending, metal forming, or related processes.
- Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and 3D modeling.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, materials, tolerances, and fixture design.
- Experience with tube bending machines and tooling.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment in the Boston area.
